What are the 4C’s?

Choosing the right Diamond

Carat

The size of the stone. Diamonds are measured in carat weights. There are 100 points in a carat; therefore 0.50 pts would be half a carat.

Clarity

The clarity/ quality of the stone. What are its inclusions or imperfections. The clearer more perfect the stone the more valuable. Some imperfections are only visible via a magnified jewellers loop; although some imperfections may be visible via the naked eye.

Colour

Diamond varies in colour massively and this will have a bearing on its value. D being the highest grade and Z being the poorest

Cut

The cut of the stone, the shape of your diamond.
